YUKIKO NORITAKE
Artist Biography

A Paris-based artist and illustrator,
Yukiko Noritake.

Born in Aichi, Japan in 1989, she studied French language and culture before moving to France in 2015. She graduated from École de Condé in Paris in 2018, where she specialized in illustration and visual communication, and has since continued her practice based in Paris.

Her work spans a wide range of fields, including advertising, publishing, brand visuals, and public art, with client collaborations at the core of her practice. Her acrylic compositions are marked by variations in line weight and rhythmic movement, creating images that feel light yet quietly layered with warmth and depth. Landscapes encountered in her travels, interior spaces, dialogues between ancient and contemporary art, and regional crafts and cultures are gently translated onto the surface, forming a quiet accumulation of memory and attention.

Her projects include collaborations with ELLE, Madame Figaro, Airbnb, and UNICEF. In recent years, she created campaign visuals for Piaget, designed a macaron coffret for Pierre Hermé, and illustrated both the cover and main visuals for the 2024 edition of the Louis Vuitton Paris City Guide. She has also participated in an art project at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, continuing to expand the scope of her practice.

Alongside commissioned work, she continues to develop her painterly works, often in conjunction with exhibitions. Moving between daily life and travel, professional work and personal creation, her paintings gently gather the subtle sensations that exist in between. The resulting works quietly overlap with the viewer’s own memories and sense of time.

パリを拠点に活動するアーティスト・イラストレーター、Yukiko Noritake（ユキコ・ノリタケ）。

1989年、愛知県生まれ。大学でフランス語と文化を学んだ後、2015年に渡仏し、パリの美術総合専門学校 École de Condé にてイラストレーションおよびビジュアルコミュニケーションを学ぶ。2018年の卒業後、パリを拠点に制作活動を続けている。

現在はクライアントワークを制作の軸とし、広告、出版、ブランドビジュアル、公共空間のアートワークなど、幅広い分野で表現を展開。アクリル絵具による画面には、描線の太細やリズムのある動きが生きており、軽やかさの中に温度や奥行きを感じさせる。旅先で出会った風景や室内空間、古代美術と現代美術、各地に根づく手仕事や文化など、日々の関心や記憶が静かに画面へと落とし込まれていく。

ELLE、Madame Figaro、Airbnb、UNICEF などのメディアや組織とのプロジェクトをはじめ、近年では Piaget のキャンペーンビジュアル、Pierre Hermé のマカロンコフレ、Louis Vuitton が刊行する2024年版パリ・シティガイドにおいて、表紙および誌面内のメイン挿絵を担当。さらに、パリ・シャルル・ド・ゴール国際空港のアートワークプロジェクトにも参加するなど、表現の場を広げている。

クライアントワークを主軸としながら、個展にあわせて絵画作品の制作も継続。日常と旅、仕事と個人制作、そのあわいにある感覚をすくい上げるように描かれる作品は、見る人それぞれの記憶や時間に、そっと重なっていく。
