フランスガラス脚付きエッグボウル｜France 19世紀

吹きガラスでつくられた脚付きのガラス器。
透明度が高く、少し重みのある安定したフォルムが特徴です。

ディーラーの話によると、この器に卵をまとめて入れるのに使われていたそう。
キッチンの傍らで卵を美しく魅せながら、使いやすく収納できるため、当時の暮らしの中でも重宝されていた様子が窺えます。

現代においては、花器としたり、実際に卵入れとして使っても素敵です。
また、たっぷり焼いたスコーンや焼菓子などを入れてテーブルに添えると、より華やかな空間に。
