スウェーデン花柄の木箱｜Sweden 1855年

優しい青緑にのどかな花々が描かれ、蓋を開けると鮮やかな朱色。
ふたつの異なる色彩が対照的に響き合う表情は、マリアージュの為に作られたものだったかもしれません。

中は仕切り棚があり、ジュエリーケースとして、ステーショナリーやカリグラフィーなどの道具を収めるなど、日常の道具を装飾的に彩ってくれます。

大変古い時代の木箱です。木肌の色味の変化やペイントの擦れに加え、蓋の右奥と底板の右奥に木の欠けが見られます。
どれも経年ならではの味わいで、雰囲気を損なうものではありません。
底板は安定しており、軽いものを収納することができます。
