フランスパピエマシェ板絵 19世紀頃

パピエマシェに描かれた静物画。

パピエマシェ (papier mâché ) とは、フランス語で "紙(papier)"、"砕く(mâché)" という意味を持ち、砕いた紙に水や膠などを混ぜ合わせ、型に流し込み固めて成型する技法です。

林檎などの果物や飾り気のない水差しなど、身近なものがモチーフの静物画。
全体的に素朴なトーンの中にも鮮やかさ、瑞々しさを感じる色彩は蚤の市でも一際目を惹きました。

他に生業を持ちながらも(おそらく)芸術を愛する姿を垣間見るような、ロマンのある作品。

大きすぎないサイズ感と優しい色合いは、空間に馴染みやすく心温まる作品だと思います。

重さ; 220g
