スタッフォードシャーラスターウェア鳥と草花柄転写プレート｜England 1820年頃

イギリススタッフォードシャーのラスターウェアの転写プレート。

やわらかな白地に、鳥と草花が黒で転写され、縁には銅色のラスター彩が施されています。
光の角度によってほんのりと艶めき、落ち着いた華やかさを感じさせます。

均一ではない線や、図案の愛らしさ。
手仕事の温かさが宿る、良い表情の一枚です。

ディーラーのメモ書きより。

〈スタッフォードシャーのラスターウェア〉
スタッフォードシャーのラスターウェアは、ガス灯の下で輝いて見えるように作られていたという話も残されています。
ラスター彩は、1805年頃にウェッジウッドが開発した技法で、当時は「月の光」とも称されていました。この光沢は、銅の酸化物を用いて低温で再焼成することで生まれます。

細かな貫入が入り、良い雰囲気です。
見込みに極小さな釉薬の剥がれが見られますが、あまり気にならない程度のもので、全体的に良好なコンディションです。
