フランスコンポート｜19世紀

グラスのような脚付きのフォルムが印象的な、19世紀フランスのガラスコンポート。

縦にあしらわれたリブ模様がやわらかな陰影を映し出し、透明なガラスには古い時代ならではのわずかな揺らぎや気泡が残されています。

もともとは果物やデザート、砂糖菓子などを盛る器として使われていたと考えられています。

草花を生ける花器として楽しまれることも多く、当時のように果物や砂糖菓子を盛り付ける器としても。
茶席では、主菓子に添える落雁などの干菓子を盛る器としても。
